Two-wavelength holographic interferometer.

چکیده
In optical testing, when the wave-front error of a test optic is much larger than the wavelength of visible light, it may be difficult to analyze the closely spaced interference fringes in the interferogram. The use of a less-sensitive testing technique or a long-wavelength interferometer would be preferred for this purpose. In addition, when the optic is to be tested in transmission, the wavelength that can be used in the interferometer is further restricted by the transmission range of the test piece. In this and other applications, two-wavelength holographic contourings 3 is convenient and appropriate.

Electrically switchable cylindrical Fresnel lens based on holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystals using a Michelson interferometer
Fabricating an electrically switchable cylindrical Fresnel lens based on holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystals (H-PDLC) using a Michelson interferometer is reported. Simplicity of the method and possibility of fabricating different focal length lenses in a single set up are among the advantages of the method. It is demonstrated that the Fresnel structured zone plate acts as a cylindrica...
متن کاملPositioning and localization of two-wavelength interferograms for wavefront reconstruction with volume holographic media.
This work studies both theoretically and experimentally the formation of the contour interference patterns generated by a two-wavelength real-time holographic interferometer. The resulting contour interference fringes are due to the intersection of the measured surface with parallel, equally spaced planes of constant elevation. The theoretical analysis describes how the spatial frequency of the...
متن کاملA Digital Holographic Approach for Co-Phasing of Segmented Telescopes: Proof of Concept Using Numerical Simulations
Online co-phasing of segmented telescopes by dual-wavelength digital holography is proposed. Two digital holograms (one hologram per wavelength) are employed to get the phase of the segmented telescope for a longer synthetic wavelength by the digital holographic approach. The holograms are recorded by a high-speed CCD camera using the point-diffraction Mach-Zehnder interferometer. By fitting th...
متن کاملBolometric interferometry: the millimeter-wave bolometric interferometer
Bolometric interferometry is not a new idea, but this technique has not been demonstrated at millimeter wavelengths. The millimeter-wave bolometric interferometer combines the advantages of two well-developed technologies – interferometers and bolometric detectors – and will open a new region of sensitivity and angular resolution not previously accessible to other instruments. 2003 Elsevier B.V...
متن کاملColor Holographic Interferometry (from Holographic Plates to Digital Holography)
ABSTRACT: We propose to detail a comparison of optical non invasive techniques using panchromatic holographic plates and digital holography for analyzing unsteady wake flows. Few years ago, ONERA developed optical methods based on real-time three-wavelength holographic interferometry using transmission and reflection holographic plates. These techniques combine the advantages of differential in...
